What: Chamber Group Music workshop for Adult Amateur players coached by professional musicians. This is an all-inclusive weekend getaway. Meet other adult amateurs and gain chamber music skills in a beautiful, relaxing location. This project was born out of a desire to offer a place for adult amateur musicians to connect and make music together. This is a not-for-profit project and we hope to create ongoing events.
Who: Adult (18+) amateur string, wind/brass and keyboard players with a minimum of 2-3 years experience on their instrument. Our maximum capacity is 15 participants.
When: Friday May 30, 2025 at 2:00 pm to Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm
Location: Kiwi Cove Lodge, 5130 Brenton Page Road, Ladysmith, BC. All coaching sessions and the final performance will take place on site. Kiwi Cove Lodge is located on a 10-acre park-like property on an estuary so bring your walking shoes.

Cost: $550 for a shared room; $675 for a single room (limited availability) $50 non-refundable deposit due with application. Balance due by February 4, 2025.
Cancellation Policy: All fees are non-refundable after February 4, 2025 unless your spot can be filled by another participant.
Late Registration: If space is available, registrations received after February 4, 2025 will be assessed a $50 late registration fee.
Accommodation: We have rented the entire lodge for this event. The lodge consists of 12 rooms, most are large and some have balconies overlooking the kiwi farm. There are 5 single rooms, 1 king room reserved for a participating couple and 4 double rooms.
Rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like to share with a friend, please indicate this on the application form.
Meals: All meals will be provided starting with Friday dinner and ending with Sunday brunch. Coffee, tea, and snacks will also be available during the day. Kiwi Cove Lodge will cater to dietary restrictions so please note any on your application form.
Included: This is an all-inclusive weekend getaway. Cost includes your room, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch & dinner, Sunday brunch, coffee/tea and snacks both days and all coaching costs. While Kiwi Cove Lodge does not offer alcoholic beverages, you are welcome to bring your own.
Repertoire: Repertoire assignments will be based on instrumentation, level and experience as determined by the recordings submitted by applicants. You will have the repertoire in advance so you can be comfortable with it before the weekend in order to make optimum use of your time at the workshop to hone your chamber group playing skills.
